
BIG Community Involvement.
Approximately 325,000 people visited the 22nd Annual Fremont Festival of the Arts, held on August 6 & 7, 2005. This event is the largest free outdoor festival in California. Visitors walked through four miles of closed streets to see the seven hundred artisan booths, thirty five food booths, and three sound stages with live music. And if that is not enough, the Fremont Festival of the Art offers premier wine tasting in the Wine Garden, specialty foods in the Gourmet Marketplace, a showcase of local businesses in the Business Alley, and the regional qualifier for the Firefighters’ Combat Challenge. There really is something for everyone!
For the fifth consecutive year, BIG Design has had the opportunity to support our local community by coordinating volunteers for the Fremont Festival of the Arts. This annual event, hosted by the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, is a major fundraiser to over 30 nonprofit organizations in the area. BIG Design is proud to sponsor the festival by sourcing and coordinating enough volunteers to staff two booths for the entire weekend. This experienced group is part of the reason that this festival is such a huge success. Our BIG team of almost 50 volunteers works hard serving beer and wine to the 325,000 visitors to the festival. But rarely is being a community volunteer so much fun!
